I have been bugging Rick of Tonkin Replicas ever since they produced the boxcar red 40’ corrugated 1/64 containers, about including us in some of the private roads they were making for the fleet operators. Well, Rick has come through and early next month they expect a shipment of two versions of the APL 1/64 scale Volvo VNM Day Cab with 40’ Containers and Chassis decorated for the APL fleet. The blue version ($54.95) is a standard “dry” container, a continuation of replicas that they previously marketed. The white version, however, is a totally new model of a smooth side refrigerated container ($59.95). These models were commissioned by the fleet for their internal use and a very limited quantities has been made available to us. I do not expect to have these listed on our website for very long!
