Our General Steel Casting Co. (GSC) 48' bulkhead flat cars are modeled using Union Pacific F-70-1 erection drawings. The car features a zamac (metal) body with an injection molded plastic "wood grain" deck, bulkheads and AB brake gear with a 15" Equipco brake wheel. Model details will be injection molded ABS® except for metal grab irons and brake shaft. Currently in stock bulkhead flat car include wrapped building material loads (homosote, gypsum board, plywood, masonite, etc.) or a wrapped lumber load with four 2' wrapped bundles. These were sold to many railroads in the 40's through 70's. The Bulkhead flat cars are currently sold out. When a new run is planned, the information will be posted here.
